Deadra Morgan called the Clinton Daily News Monday morning to state she was living at 421 Prairie Chief, the home that caught fire early Friday morning.
Clinton Public School Foundation has released the names of seven Clinton High School students who have been selected to receive scholarships to pay for concurrent college classes when school resumes in the fall.

According to Clinton Police Chief Paul Rinkel, CPD officers responded to the Love's east of Clinton last night (Friday, June 5, 2020) after a person from out of state reported there was a body in the back of an RV.

“Peace” and “coming together” were the two notions Jennifer Barron stressed when talking about today’s march and protest in order to highlight the racial tensions gripping America.
The Clinton Fire Department was called to handle a structure fire at 5:27 a.m. Friday at 421 Prairie Chief. Capt. Forrest Valentine said they were able to put the fire out and save the basic structure of the home with internal and some external smoke damage. Nobody was living at the home and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. In the photo at top right is Justin Hill and Valentine.
The Clinton Daily News is calling for stories from and about veterans and active-duty members of the military with ties to the local area.
Properties on which taxes have been in arears for four consecutive years will be auctioned off in Custer County’s annual resale, said Custer County Treasurer Janet Roulet. The event will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, and in order to make social distancing easy it will be held outside this year on the steps of the Custer County Courthouse in Arapaho.
After the 2019 fall and 2020 spring semesters, 18 students from Clinton have completed requirements for either an associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
