Radio ablation used to eliminate thyroid nodules

Dear Doctors: I had a kidney transplant two years ago, and I have developed thyroid nodules. Are they dangerous? I would like to ask about radio ablation to remove them. Is it an established procedure, or is it in the investigative stage? What does it entail?

An early morning wake-up call for the Clinton Fire Department Friday luckily didn’t amount to much after a call came in for an electrical fire at Sleep’s Bakery, located at 2231 Gary Blvd., turned out to be just a heater malfunction.

An Erick woman died Thursday evening as a result of injuries suffered from an accident on Route 66, four miles east of Erick.

Landon Garth Farmer, 47, of Clinton, was arrested Tuesday evening when Clinton Police served an arrest warrant at Farmer’s home in the 1600 block of Deputy Drive using the Custer County Sheriff’s MRAP tactical vehicle to force entry into the home. Farmer was booked into the Custer County Jail on charges of trafficking in illegal drugs, acquiring proceeds from drug activity, possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property and maintaining a place for keeping and or selling controlled substances.

Volunteers ready to help hospital

Now that the hospital has reopened, the Clinton Regional Hospital Service Volunteers have begun working to reinstate their position of aiding the hospital by reopening the gift shop, running Lifeline and helping with special projects.
