After cracking down on dilapidated motels across town, the Clinton City Council is now shifting its focus to the City’s ongoing transient issue through establishing a new section in Clinton City Code for the defining and regulation of vagrancy, loitering and sleeping on private property which was approved during a regular meeting of the council Tuesday.

The Clinton City Council in its role as the Clinton Industrial Authority took no action surrounding a grant application for Central Oklahoma Little Britches Rodeo Association during its regular meeting Tuesday pointing to a lack of knowledge surrounding the event’s economic impact and its longevity in the Clinton community.

The CPS Board of Education (BOE) met for its monthly meeting Tuesday evening where members discussed student progress, capital improvement, new policy and financial business.
