Senator James Lankford (R-OK), led by Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) and several of their colleagues, recently introduced legislation to permanently ban earmarks. This follows an announcement by House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Rosa DeLauro to bring the practice back to Congress.

Firefighters have busy weekend

The Clinton Fire Department had an eventful weekend which included two structure fires on Littell Avenue, a grass fire and caring for a service dog for several days.
