Every day firefighters across the nation enter scenes of chaos and flames while carrying 50 pounds of gear, breathing supplied air, and have an elevated heart rate for a prolonged period of time. The physical exertion, the stress, and a selfless concern for the lives of others mean that being a firefighter is an incredibly taxing job on the body.

As construction continues on a new commercial hangar at the Clinton Regional Airport, airport manager Tracy Yoder says the airport is looking forward to continuing to rebuild after a 2021 tornado left behind damage across the airport along with continuing to focus on its goal of bringing in a new commercial aircraft business to Clinton.
