John Woodrow “Woody” Abercrombie, father of Clinton’s Judy Jordan flew many big planes and was part of important bombing raids in World War II during a lengthy military career.

Green saved many lives in Coast Guard

Douglas Paul Green, who graduated from Clinton High School with the Class of 1985, served 20 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, retiring in 2010 as an E-7 chief petty officer.

Barton served two tours in Vietnam

Jim Barton, of Arapaho, volunteered for the U.S. Army and served from 1963-66. He served 19 months and one day in Vietnam. During his first tour he was a classified courier and a right door gunner on the Huey helicopter. During his second tour he served as a munitions specialist.
