Many Clinton resident may have heard the stor sirens going off Tuesday morning and afternoon. Clinton Fire Chief Brett Russell said his department was testing a new remote activating system and there’s nothing to worry about.

A non-exclusive permit for Clarity Telecom (Bluepeak) to construct and operate a cable television system was approved Tuesday by Clinton’s City Council members. Bluepeak representative Desi Stoops addressed counci members again since his presentation during last week’s special meeting.

Thompson earns top recognition

Clinton High School senior Daniel Thompson is one of the 32,000 students across the country to receive academic honors from the College Board’s National Recognition Programs.

Dad still tells adult daughter what to do
