First responders were on the scene for this single-vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon near mile marker 71 on Interstate 40. Two people, who did not appear to suffer any injuries, were in this truck that was tangled up with the cable barriers near the eastbound lane. Nance Elementary School collected non-perishable food items, and had a hat day donation drive to collect for the Custer County Conflict benefiting the Connections Food and Resource Center. Nance collected 18 boxes of food and collected $460 which equates to 2,760 pounds of food. A Hammon man died Monday morning as the result of a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 about 6½ miles west of Hinton.
