ODOT crews ready when needed

Benny Shropshire, left, and Patrick Jones make sure the Oklahoma Department of Transportation snow plows are ready for the winter weather predicted today. Ahead of the storm, ODOT crews spread a brine solution on I-40 throughout western Oklahoma so snow and ice will begin to melt as soon as it hits the pavement. Adding the brine makes it easier for the snow plow to do its job if needed. CDN Photo

A 15-year-old male was arrested for assault and battery with a deadly weapon Friday. The juvenile got into an altercation around 4 a.m. Friday with Clinton resident Keelie Gifford, 21, before allegedly shooting at him.
