OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Civil rights groups filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of three transgender Oklahoma schoolchildren, arguing the state's new law requiring students use only the bathroom of the sex listed on their birth certificate is unconstitutional.

Miller honored for dedication, excellence in CHS classroom

Brittany Miller, an English teacher at Clinton High School, has been selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). Miller was nominated by one of her students for outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in the classroom.

Custer County Commissioners accepted bids on three different bridge projects at their weekly meeting yesterday. Also discussed at the meeting were bids on the $500,000 bathroom renovation project, plans for the purchase of the Custer County Election Board building, and updates to land records referencing.
