Post-election audits help ensure secure elections

Thirty-three county election boards across Oklahoma conducted manual post-election audits July 28. According to state law, these audits are to help maintain the security of the election system by ensuring that voting devices in particular elections counted votes correctly.

The United Fund Board will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, in the Oklahoma Room of the Oklahoma Bank and Trust to hear re quests from the agencies they support. To be considered for funding, organizations must complete a packet before the meeting and must have 501 C 3 rating with the IRS.
