As temperatures drop and winter weather approaches, the Clinton Mission House is in need of various necessities to keep members of the community warm during the winter season.

Jonathan Dana Addison, 27, of Clinton, has been charged with aggravated assault with great bodily injury inflicted or committed upon an aged person and public intoxication after an incident in the 600 block of Modelle Avenue Jan. 12.

Candidate filings will open at 8 a.m. Feb. 6 and close at 5 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Custer County Election Board, located at 633 N. Sixth St. in Clinton.

Monday afternoon crash

The intersection of 10th Street and Gary Boulevard once again was the scene of a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon. No one was reported injured in the wreck.

Clinton High School has earned the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science Female Diversity Award, a recognition only 832 schools across the nation have received, for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles.
