Acme grass stays fresh

The Friends on Frisco event will happen early this month. It is scheduled this Friday (July 23) due to the Clinton Rodeo occurring July 30 and 31. Clinton Chamber of Commerce President Julie Caldwell addressed the city council Tuesday night about shutting down Frisco Avenue from 5 through 7 Street for the duration of the event.

Two new members have been appointed to the Western Plains Library System board of directors for three-year terms and three current members were re-elected. The changes were made July 9 at the 10-member board’s first meeting of the new fiscal year.

Clinton resident Marcus Dewayne Long, 50, is being charged with possession of firearm after former felony conviction and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.
