Upgrades to school security along with the ongoing Capital Improvement Plan continued to be the main topics of discussion for the Clinton Public Schools Board of Education during its regular meeting Monday. With construction ongoing across the district, the school system is also continuing to upgrade its school security to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Clinton Police Officer Adam Hopper has been charged with misdemeanor domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor after an incident took place May 6 in Cordell. The officer has since been placed on administrative leave by the Clinton Police Department pending a full investigation into the incident.
