Filing for Clinton City Council Ward 1 and Ward 3 seats closed officially at 5 p.m. today with incumbent Ernesto Villanueva the only candidate to file for Ward 1, securing him his seat.

Incumbent Patch McComas and Stormie Hill have filed for candidacy for the Ward 3 seat, a general election for which will be held on Nov. 14.
