Lady Indians break even to open season

ARAPAHO – The Arapaho-Butler slow-pitch softball team went 1-1 in its opening week of play, beating Sentinel last Monday, 14-7, before falling to Leedey, 11-1, Thursday.

ALTUS – Two days after the Westwood Tournament, both of the Clinton tennis teams jumped up a few spots in team placing at the Altus Tourney Thursday.

No new word came down from OSSAA about postponements or cancellations due to the concern over COVID-19.

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) voted in an emergency meeting Monday to close all Oklahoma schools until April 6th due to concern over COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This means athletics will also be shutdown until that date as well.

Thursday afternoon the sports world saw unprecedented decisions come down, as major events were either postponed or cancelled altogether with the rising concern over COVID-19 (coronavirus).

Amidst the swirling cancellations of other sporting events across the state and beyond, Clinton track hosted its first home track meet in nearly three decades Thursday.
