Clinton aims to improve over open week

The scheduled open week of the season for Coach John Higbee and the Clinton Red Tornadoes football team has arrived at the best time for them, as the program is gearing up for the important games of the schedule as the team looks to improve, and also seeks to heal from early injuries.

The Burns Flat-Dill City Eagles (1-1) acquired their first win of the season over the Cordell Blue Devils Friday night at home by being forceful on defense along with a commanding offense that resulted in a 33-8 win.
