The second round of the Class 4A playoffs marked the end of the journey for the Clinton High School Red Tornado football team as it fell to the Ada Cougars 21-9 Friday at the Tornado Bowl.

CHS to hold first girls’ wrestling season

This winter, Clinton High School will be hosting a new sport as girls’ wrestling has branched away from the boys’ program and will compete on its own for the first time.

The lawsuit against Kingfisher High School and the Yellowjackets football program over hazing has been settled for $5 million, according to The Oklahoman. Last month, Kingfisher head coach Jeff Myers was charged with child neglect, another former coach, Micah Nall, was also charged.

Clinton to face Ada in second round

As the Class 4A Playoffs move into the second round, the Clinton Red Tornadoes (7-3) will face the Ada Cougars (101) with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Friday at the Tornado Bowl.
