Dragging down ‘Main Street’

Clinton residents were able to get out of the house, while still maintaining proper social distancing Friday night, dragging their cars down Frisco Avenue. Daniel Ashcraft organized the event, according to the Clinton Chamber of Commerce. It’s planned to go down again this Friday.

Filing period for four county and several state offices including the Oklahoma House of Representatives District 57 seat that serves this area, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The finishing touches are being made to the VA outpatient clinic, under construction in Clinton since last year. But because of the pandemic it won’t be opening its door anytime soon, said Oklahoma City VA Public Affairs Officer Amy Umhoefer.
