Graveside services will be held for Franklin Smith, 80, of Butler at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Pavilion in the Butler Cemetery.
He died on or around July 9, 2018, in his Butler home.
Franklin “Frankie” Howard Smith was born July 11, 1937, to Loyd and Dora (Armstrong) Smith in Butler. He was raised in Butler and graduated from Butler High School in 1955.
Soon after high school Smith enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and served two years. He then returned to Butler where he farmed, ranched and operated a dairy farm for many years. He also worked in construction.
Smith enjoyed the outdoors and playing dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Laura McLaughlin; and a brother, L.D. Smith.
He is survived by his nieces, Laura Jo Ambeau of Port Allen, La., Lonnie Mannon of Foss Lake, Terry Lynn Smith-Perrin of Marino Valley, Calif., Deborah Lowe of Edmond and Shannon Monson of Eakly; and a nephew, Charles McLaughlin of Arapaho.
The service will be officiated by Doyle Kinney and under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
