Derk Mathew Vloedman, age 62, passed away at his home in Clinton Okla. Thursday June 11, 2026. He was born in Oklahoma City on Dec 26, 1963, to Andy Vloedman and Linnea Ann (Sandberg) Vloedman.

He attended Maud high school and later moved to Clinton, Oklahoma where he retired after working for Rick Smith Ditching for over 40 years.

Derk had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, playing pool, and even driving a pro stock at the local racetrack.

Over the years, those passions became even more meaningful as he shared them with his children and grandchildren. He took immense pride in spending time with them, sharing his experience and passing along the skills that came so naturally to him.

Derk is survived by his sons, Andrew Vloedman of Clinton, Oklahoma, Tyler Vloedman of Clinton, Oklahoma, Jacob Vloedman of Maud, Oklahoma and his daughter, Terra Vloedman of Canute, Oklahoma; his brother, Andy Vloedman and wife Connie Vloedman of Weatherford, Oklahoma, his sisters, Donna Moore and husband Frank Moore of Cromwell, Oklahoma, and Linda (Vloedman) Parker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janel Wynn of McAlester, Oklahoma.

Derk will be remembered as a man who worked hard, loved his family deeply, and pursued the things he enjoyed with passion and determination.

Whether he was hunting, at the racetrack or spending time with those he loved, he lived life on his own terms. His stories, laughter, knowledge, and friendship will be missed by many, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, June 29, 2026, at Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in the Randy Kiesau Chapel 2500 W. Modelle Ave in Clinton, Oklahoma.
