Graveside services for Patricia Jo Cochran, 91, former Sentinel resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026, in the Sentinel Cemetery, officiated by Dennis Hill and under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
Patricia Jo (Williams) Cochran was born June 26, 1934, to Frank and Ruby (Currie) Williams in
Sentinel, Oklahoma, and passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Patricia was raised in Sentinel and graduated from Sentinel High School in 1952. During her school years, she was an outstanding basketball player and a member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. Soon after high school, she married Robert Ross (Bob) Cochran December 21,1952 in Sentinel. The couple later moved to Stillwater while Bob attended college. Following his time at Oklahoma State University, he joined the military, and the family lived in several places throughout the United States.
After Robert’s military service, he worked for Collins Radio, and the family continued to travel extensively before eventually returning to Sentinel, where they farmed. Patricia also built a successful career as an insurance agent. She later worked for Southwest Bank and eventually retired from SWODA in the early 2000s.
In 2017, Patricia and Bob moved to Oklahoma City. Bob preceded her in death later that same year. Since then, Patricia had been a resident of Village in the Park, where she also served on the residents’ council.
She was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church. Patricia enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, participating in book club and Bible study groups, and especially loved dancing. She was known as a bright and cheerful person who truly loved life and who had her own sense of style. An extra ordinary woman, Patricia was a class act had a caring heart and was always willing to visit and help those who were sick or in need. She made everyone feel special.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bob in 2017.
Survivors include her son, Robert Cochran, Jr. and wife, Dianne, of Ashland, Tennessee; two daughters, Renee Hill and husband, Dennis, of Clinton, Oklahoma, and Kelly Hoppe and husband, Anthony, of Bushland, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her friend, Don Godfrey.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
