Darren Ray Jefferson, age 65, of Clinton, Oklahoma, was born June 7, 1960, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Bob and Julia Etta (Berry) Jefferson, and passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, in Oklahoma City. Darren attended college following high school and later made his home in San Antonio, Texas, where he lived for 44 years. A gifted craftsman and creative spirit, Darren owned and operated Hall of Frame for more than 18 years. He considered his framing work an extension of his artistic expression, taking great pride in every piece he created. His custom frames were used in numerous San Antonio art museums to display works of art. Darren was also a member of the Alamo Heights Chamber of Commerce, where he was known for his professionalism and dedication to his trade.

Darren enjoyed discovering new places to eat, had a sharp sense of humor, and deeply loved his dog, Savannah, who was his constant companion. In his later years, Darren moved to Clinton, Oklahoma, where he attended New Hope Fellowship Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Julia Jefferson, who lovingly raised him, and by his cousin, Paul Pendley, of Clinton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Forrest Jefferson, of Houston; his nephew, Nathan Jefferson, of Houston; his sister-in-law, Gloria Hernandez, of Houston; cousins Pauline Lee and husband Ray, of Clinton, Gayla McCallister and husband Vernon, of Clinton, Diana Bowen, of Newcastle; along with other cousins and extended family members.

Darren’s wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest in the Clinton Cemetery. Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
