Jackie “Jack” Gene McKeaigg, 84, passed from this life on October 4, 2025, in Macclenny, Florida, surround-ed by family love and care.

Born on August 28, 1941, to Mary Lucy and James Burrel McKeaigg, Jack grew up in Oklahoma and attended Putnam City School before earning his education at the University of Oklahoma.

Jack married Janet Kathleen in 1978, and together they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and family. He was the proud father of three children: Nancy Diane Chappelle (from a previous marriage, who passed earlier this year), Travis Ransom McKeaigg, and Tamra Shane Koch. Jack’s legacy continues through his grandchildren — Rusty, Mackenzie, Craig Turner, and Emma Grace Koch — as well as his many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved and cared for deeply. He will also be remembered by the many family members and friends who shared his warmth and kindness.

Jack’s Christian faith was a guiding light throughout his life, shaping his values and sustaining him through both joy and hardship. He found strength in prayer, comfort in scripture, and peace in knowing God’s promise of eternal life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and James McKeaigg, his sister Ila Lorean McKeaigg, and brothers James Edward and Joe Eldon McKeaigg.

Jack will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and the steadfast love he showed to his family through every chapter of life.
