Funeral services for Kendon Lue Harris, 12 year-old Thomas resident, will be held Sunday, June 27, 2021, 3:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Thomas with Jerry Yoder, Tim Billy and T.C. Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Valley Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas.

Kendon was born December 11, 2008, in Yukon to Kevin and Melissa (Godwin) Harris and passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Weatherford Regional Hospital. Kendon was raised and attended school in Thomas.

He was getting ready to enter 7th grade and was very active in football, basketball and baseball.

His grandfather, Jimmy, had just taken Kendon and his brother, Kellan, striper fishing at Lake Texoma and brought in a whole string of fish.

Kendon enjoyed playing on the X-Box, fishing, wrestling with his brother and sister, and unexpectedly stopping by Aunt Debby’s and raiding her kitchen because he knew she always had good snacks.

Memorials may be made to the First National Bank Class of 2027.

Kendon is survived by his mother, Melissa Harris of Thomas; his father, Kevin Harris of Alva; one brother, Kellan Harris of the home in Thomas; one sister, Raylea Medicine Bear of the home in Thomas; his maternal grandmother, Susan Godwin of the home in Thomas; his maternal grandfather, Jimmy Godwin and Mary McReynolds of Fay; his paternal grandparents, Ed and Lorna Baldwin of Elk City; Aunt Deborah Slagle and Charlie Clark of Thomas; and numerous family and friends.
