Formerly absent dad doesn’t acknowledge past

DEAR HARRIETTE: Growing up, I never really knew my biological father – aside from what my grandparents would tell me. When I was 7, my mother remarried, and my stepfather has been my daddy ever since. Now, as an adult, my biological father has reentered my life and is an active granddad to my kids. Firemen battle blaze on Frisco

A fire started above a closet ceiling in a residence located at 1601 Frisco Ave. at approximately 12:30 a.m. Friday morning. Clinton Fire Chief Brett Russell said the fire was most likely caused by an electrical shortage from an issue with the breakers.

Clinton Public School District recently launched its first alumni search. Director of communications Maci Stover created a graphic with an attached link that will allow interested alumni to fill out a form for school officials to add to their database.

Pink Zebra ventures into flower business

Pink Zebra owner Angie Newcomb recently added a flower shop inside her boutique. It will be a full-service shop filled with plants, flowers and pots.

Custer County residents will vote Tuesday on renewing the existing half-cent county sales tax for the next five years. If the sales tax is extended, it will take effect July 1.
