Custer County commissioners accepted various monetary donations from businesses across Weatherford for use in the department to supplement items not included in the office’s budget, during a regular meeting Wednesday.

Jail updates continue to be a focus of Custer County commissioners as they work to address problems at the aging facility with plans in place to upgrade the jail’s security systems, including cameras and cell locking mechanisms, with commissioners moving to accept an agreement with ECC Security Technology Solutions, to evaluate the jail’s security system and identify necessary specifications for upgrades.
