NEW YORK (AP) — Gwen Carr sat up straight in her seat as she heard lines of dialogue delivered by the actor portraying Mamie Till-Mobley, the mother of Emmett Till, a 14-yearold Black boy whose lynching in Mississippi in 1955 catalyzed the U.S. civil rights movement.

Rollover accident

Clinton firefighters Lt. Joe Williams, Capt. D.J. Woodall and Collin Wieder attempt to clean up after a rollover accident shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday at the CED-7 building across from the Clinton Cemetery. The driver of this compact SUV was transported to the hospital and believed to be OK. Her vehicle rolled down the hill and came to rest on its top against the building.

Jessy Lee Garrison, 42, of Guernsey, Wyo., has been charged with aggravated assault and battery when great bodily injury is inflicted after an incident in the Custer County Jail on Sept. 27.
