Council confirms down with Midtown

Deadlines, or rather missed deadlines, finally sealed the fate of the Midtown Inn, and led to the condemnation of a home at 336 S. 14th St. Tuesday at the Clinton City Council meeting, while another set of properties received an extended reprieve.

Clinton firefighters shattered their previous year’s collection during the annual “Fill the Boot” fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), Fire Chief Brett Russell announced Wednesday.

Hayes challenges students in tech application exercises

At Clinton Middle School, Tech Ed is a popular class in which students participate in many projects and activities involving engineering and building simple structures. For example, this year, these students have the opportunity to go to the OKC Riversport facility and make cardboard boats to race other schools. This class is taught by Zac Hayes, a former Clinton High School graduate and also a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
