(AP) — The number of people seeking unemployment benefits in the U.S. reached a four-month low last week, a sign that employers are holding on to their workers despite the Federal Reserve's efforts to slow the economy and tamp down inflation.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma's current schedule of executing a death row inmate roughly every 30 days is placing too much of a burden on prison staff and should be slowed down, the state's new attorney general wrote in a motion filed Wednesday with the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.

Concrete laid for new building

The Clinton Hospital Authority approved an intrafund borrowing agreement with the City of Clinton for $1,587,092 for the use of purchasing hospital equipment and other hospital expenses during the City Council’s regular meeting Tuesday. The funds will be available as a loan from the City’s capital improvement fund until the results of the March 7 election to decide whether or not hospital trust funds will be available for use.

Chili served fresh tomorrow
