After the story of a missing child came to a happy ending when the Clinton Fire Department was able to team up with the Elk City Fire Department to use a thermal drone to locate the boy quickly, the Clinton community came together to donate the needed funds for the department to purchase its own drone which will help firefighters not only in cases like missing children but in fires as well.

With repairs from 2021’s tornado and paving projects wrapping up, the Clinton Regional Airport is now shifting its focus to building a new box hangar to replace one that was destroyed in last year’s tornado. It will be bought with the help of an Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission grant.

A Weatherford man was critically injured in a twovehicle crash Thursday on U.S. Highway 183, 2.5 miles south of Taloga.

Organizers working out details for big reunion

The Clinton Alumni Association and guests met Thursday evening to continue making plans for the 2023 all-class reunion, “Let the Good Times Roll”, set to be held May 26-27.
