Nearly $3 million of the $11.6 million in available hospital trust funds has already been spent, leaving only $8.8 million in the fund to finance the reopening of the hospital, something initial estimates say will cost over $6 million for just the first phase of reopening.

WPLS boasts successful winter

The Western Plains Library System is celebrating a successful winter reading program after participants across the system’s seven libraries read a combined 2,184 books over the months of January and February.

Free hearing screenings for students

Through a partnership with the District One Mobile Unit of the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Clinton Public Schools may provide free hearing screenings to all Clinton elementary students.

Last weekend the Corn Bible Academy’s German Feast and Auction proved to be a successful fundraiser with the school nearly reaching its goal of raising $160,000 through the meal and auction.

The Arapaho United Methodist Church will be hosting an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at its location at 112 N. 8th Ave. in Arapaho. All are welcome and refreshments will be available.
