City officials still believe there is hope for the Clinton Regional Hospital after the Clinton Hospital Authority approved a consulting agreement with Northeast Oklahoma Management Services Organization, LLC, a company which specializes in hospital licensure. The agreement is a move City Manager Robert Johnston said at a regular meeting of the Clinton Hospital Authority Tuesday is a step in the right direction for reopening the hospital.

Preparing for the big day

CHS graduation will be held at 7 p.m. at the McLain Rogers Park Amphitheater, located south of Jaycee Lane. In case of inclement weather, the graduation ceremony will be held at the CHS Dome, located at 2130 W. Gary Blvd.

With the school year coming to a close for Clinton Public Schools today, CPS Superintendent Tyler Bridges reflected on a year filled with the continuing the improvement of academics, success of students, progress on the new school buildings with the Capital Improvement Project and more.

Fire crews battle ‘suspicious’ RV fire

Clinton firefighters were busy early Wednesday afternoon just before 2 p.m. battling a fire that sparked in an RV behind a home in the 500 block of Opal Avenue. When crews arrived, the fire had already burned through the vehicle, leaving the small RV a total loss.
