Plans for the new playground at McLain Rogers Park will be unveiled at a family event to be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the northwest corner of the park, said Marian Tisdal, one of the project’s organizers.
Fifteen of the 19 counties in the Northwest District of the County Officers and Deputies Association of Oklahoma were represented at last week’s annual meeting of the organization held at the Frisco Center in Clinton.
A new eight-year plan was adopted Monday by commissioners of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, and it has plenty in it for Clinton and Custer County.
The Arapaho-Butler Public School Board has announced that the period for filing a declaration of candidacy for the board’s No. 5 seat is set for 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, through Wednesday, Dec. 4.
