Christmas ‘gift’ presented at Nance

Five-year-old Layla Vasquez, a student in April Willoughby’s kindergarten class at Nance Elementary, dressed as a wrapped gift for a Christmas music program held at the school before winter break. A special note added to the package read, “Please do not re-gift.”

Jones named vice-mayor by cohorts

Chris Jones, who represents Ward 1 in the northwest section of town, was elected as Clinton’s vice-mayor at the last City Council meeting held Dec. 17.
