Clinton Middle School teacher Vicki Donley received the 2020 Outstanding Contribution to Education Award on Thursday.
A 16-year-old Sentinel girl was hurt in a singlevehicle accident when the truck she was driving rolled early Friday evening on State Highway 73, seven miles west of Clinton.

The first day of school brought new challenges to staff at Nance Elementary, as several teachers were absent due to COVID-19.
Clinton resident Daeisha Caldwell, 28, was arrested Aug. 16 for alleged aggravated assault and battery.
So far it’s a two-person race for the position of Clinton mayor.
