CFD puts new fire truck into action

The Clinton Fire Department has a new 2021 Ford F-550 fire truck that will increase the department’s ability to handle grass fires. The truck cost approximately $150,000, according to Fire Chief Brett Russell, with $120,000 coming from the Custer County use tax, $20,000 from the City of Clinton, and $10,000 from the CFD sales tax fund.

CMS food pantry stock is getting low

The Clinton Middle School food pantry is currently running low on perishable and nonperishable food items as well as toiletries.
