The coronavirus pandemic has caused economic disruptions at every level of American life, and the cancellation of the Oklahoma State Fair will be having a major effect on the collective wallet of Oklahoma City and the entire state.

Wreck sends three to hospital

A two-car wreck with injuries took place at N. 10th Street and Gary Blvd. around 5 p.m. Friday. Three people were transported to AllianceHealth Clinton with injuries. Two juveniles, including the driver of one vehicle were involved. One juvenile had arm injuries, while the other suffered a head injury. The other driver, Antonio Lopez-Gomez, 20, of Weatherford, was transported with arm injuries as well. Clinton Firefighter Tyler Calvert uses the battery-powered cutters to cut off the smashed-in door and free one of the passengers involved. CFD Deputy Chief Mark Switzer oversees the operation.

“Shoot me! Kill me!” is allegedly what intoxicated suspect, Charles Jones, 29, of Clinton, yelled at Clinton Police Officers during an early morning confrontation Friday.

Interim City Manager Gene McCullough announced Monday that City Hall is closed to the public as a result of the surge of COVID-19 cases in Clinton.

Friends’ goes well again
