At 9:37 a.m. on Sept. 11, 2001, five hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia. All 53 passengers and six crew members perished in the crash, and an additional 125 military and civilian personnel on the ground were killed in the fire caused by the crash.

Four of the five individuals originally served protective orders for allegedly sending threatening and harassing texts to Rachel Moore, wife of Rep. Anthony Moore, entered a motion to dismiss the petition for protective order Wednesday at the Custer County Courthouse.

The primary elections for Oklahoma State Senate District 26, Oklahoma State Representative District 57, and Custer County Commissioner District 1 as well as the state offices of Governor, State Auditor, Attorney General, State Treasurer, State Superintendent, and Corporation Commissioner will be taking place this Tuesday, June 28.

Johnson to read her book at D.C.

Jacky Johnson, a senior at Clinton High School, has written and illustrated a children’s book, “Tulip’s Seasonal Adventures,” and is going to Washington, D.C., today to compete with other teen authors from across the nation.

Clinton resident Ridge Kelby Fergason, 27, was arrested for alleged domestic assault, falsely impersonating another, and escape from felony arrest following a domestic incident on June 15.
