The Clinton Hospital Authority met for a special meeting Tuesday to discuss the hospital manager transition between AllianceHealth and Carrus Health. While a majority of the meeting took place in executive session with the press and public barred, the authority did move to show support to Carrus Health and their plan to retain current hospital employees.

Teacher of Year candidates named

Clinton Public Schools recently named its school site finalists for this year’s Teacher of the Year. The district-wide Teacher of the Year will be announced at 10 a.m. Dec. 21 in a ceremony to be held at Clinton Middle School.

Candidate filing for the Clinton Board of Education No. 3 seat and Arapaho-Butler Board of Education District No. 1 and No. 3 seats will open Monday at 8 a.m. and close Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Custer County Election Board Office, located at 633 N. Sixth St. in Clinton.
