Oklahoma State Treasurer Randy McDaniel announced he will not seek reelection next year but plans to continue serving as treasurer until his current term ends Jan. 9, 2023.

Texas Dems

Texas is the latest state to have a big fight over reforming its election laws. Remember that in Georgia, some Democrats – like President Joe Biden – said a Republican-passed law that made several commonsense changes to election practices was "Jim Crow on steroids." You won't be surprised that some Democrats are saying similar things about a bill that would make changes – Republicans call them commonsense changes – in Texas.

Teen still in critical condition

A 16-year-old boy still clings to life after suffering horrific injuries in an accident that claimed the lives of his mother, as well as another woman and her two young children.

The Free Medical Clinic is held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. This clinic is set to be held at Clinton’s First United Methodist Church basement and this free service is available for people who do not have medical insurance.
