A few counselors from Clinton Public Schools presented at the 2023 For Counselors Only Conference held at the Metro Tech Campus, located at 1900 Springlake Dr. in Oklahoma City. Their presentation was on “Care Teams” and addressed different ways the district supports students. Spray sunscreen bottles are made from aluminum, which is a desired recyclable that is accepted by nearly every recycling program in the country. Just make sure the bottle is empty and remove the nozzle top, since it’s made from hard-to-recycle plastic. As for manual spray pump-style sunscreen bottles, the plastic bottle is recyclable, and the same rules apply: Remove the pump and components before recycling.

DEAR HARRIETTE: I was trying to send a text message to my friend, and it inadvertently went to my boss. There wasn’t anything bad in it, per se. But my language was a bit racy. I used a couple of curse words and incomplete sentences. It was the shorthand I use when I talk to my friends.
