A bill drafted by Arapaho- Butler senior Katie Edelen has now become law after it was signed last week by Gov. Kevin Stitt. House Bill 1546, authored in the house by Rep. Anthony Moore and in the Senate by Sen. Darcy Jech, will establish a prisoner alert system that will alert residents in close proximity of a correctional facility in the event of a prisoner escape.
