The Clinton Regional Hospital remains closed more than half a year from when its doors first shut on Jan. 1 sending City leaders on a journey filled with twists and turns, but now City Manager Robert Johnston believes the hospital is closer than it has ever been to reopening.

Filing opens 8 a.m. Monday at the Custer County Election Board located at 633 N. Sixth St. in Clinton for the election of Clinton City Council seats in Ward 1 and Ward 3. The filing period will end at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
