Filing dates set for city council seats

After a tumultuous year surrounding decisions made about the Clinton Regional Hospital and other hot button topics like the future of the Glancy Property and the demolition of the Tradewinds Motel, residents in two city wards will have the opportunity to throw their hat into the ring to run for the Ward One and Ward Three council seats. Filings for the seats will open at 8 a.m. July 17 at the Custer County Election Board and will close at 5 p.m. July 19. Only those living in each respective ward may file to run for the upcoming election.

Cultures combine for Levitt AMP

A blending of cultures will take to the McLain Roger’s Park Amphitheater stage Friday night in the third concert of the Levitt Amp Clinton Music Series. The free concert will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday at the amphitheater with performances by the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Jazz Combo, Goodblanket Intertribal Dance Troupe and headliner Incendio.
