Scammers are always cooking up creative new ways to separate people from their money. The sad reality is that it often works. The latest schemes involve so-called “money flipping,” and it’s showing up in consumers’ newsfeeds on social media sites and even via text messaging.

Owners of the Glancy Motor Hotel have filed notices in District Court seeking to prevent the City of Clinton from demolishing it.

The historic motel, a frequent stopping place for travelers during the heyday of Route 66, was condemned Aug. 6 by the Clinton City Council.
