Library asked to limit Wi-Fi

In an effort to curtail the growing numbers of transients seen loitering in front of the Clinton Public Library, Western Plains Library System was asked by the City of Clinton to cut back on the library’s 24-hour Wi-Fi access.

Injuries less than feared in I-40 crash

A husband and wife from Arkansas were wearing their seatbelts and escaped what emergency responders thought would be much more serious injuries when their four-door Ford F-150 pickup ran off Interstate 40 and flipped end over end just before 8 o’clock Friday morning.

The annual base pay of Custer County elected officers has officially crossed the $50,000 mark.

Effective July 1, the gross pay of elected officers rose by $2,397 to $50,336.52 a year. It had been $47,939.52.
