Water and its possibilities were discussed at length during Tuesday’s Clinton City Council meeting. Those in attendance listened to Robert Stewart, project manager for Inframark, give an extensive report about the operations of the Clinton Lake water plant, the City’s RO (reverse osmosis) plant and the wastewater plant south of town.
Connections Food & Resource Center (CFRC) is hosting its annual “Fill the Truck” event from Friday through Sunday during the Weatherford Area Pickleball Paddle Battle at Radar Park. The event is a direct appeal to the community to address the rising need for food assistance in western Oklahoma.
In a significant step toward improving water infrastructure, the Foss Reservoir Master Conservancy District has been granted a lifeline in the form of a substantial funding approval from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB). The district received the green light for $1,409,648 in funding Tuesday, which will be used toward upgrading and enhancing its water infrastructure. The construction of these improvements will be financed through a combination of the Oklahoma American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant program and $190,352 in local funds.
An Elk City man was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City by Air Evac, following a single-vehicle rollover accident Tuesday evening. The accident occurred around 8:06 p.m., 6 miles south of Camargo near 730 Road and 2120 Road.
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety announced the Oklahoma Highway Patrol ENDUI team will partner with the Washita County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a saturation patrol in Washita County from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. tomorrow.
