The 2024 season for the Clinton Reds baseball team (11-22) has come to an end, as it went 1-2 in the playoffs.
Make it two for state, as the Arapaho-Butler Indians baseball team (25-2) beat the Ripley Warriors, 4-3, Friday at home to equal the girls’ softball team in qualifying for the Class 2A State Tournament.
Over the weekend, the Clinton High School soccer program held its annual banquet to celebrate the teams and give out awards prior to the playoffs starting.
The Arapho-Butler Lady Indians softball team (26-8) opened the Regional Tournament at home as the visitor Thursday against the Rock Creek Lady Mustangs, where they stumbled out of the gate losing 7-6.
The Arapaho-Butler Indians baseball team (24-2) beat Velma-Alma, 17-0, before taking down No. 10 Ripley Warriors, 4-2, Thursday at home to get within one game of advancing to the state tournament.
With only two tournaments left in the year, the Clinton Lady Reds golf team hit the road Wednesday to the Elk City Golf and Country Club for the Class 4A Regional Tournament where it came away victorious with a score of 332.
With the final regular season meet of the year, the Clinton track teams left Weatherford Tuesday winners, as the boys’ team took home the gold with a score of 100, 14 points over second place, and the girls’ team finished fifth with a score of 45 for the day.
DEAR HARRIETTE: I got married to my husband about seven months ago after dating him for five years, and while I expected some adjustments in our relationship, I’ve been feeling a significant shift lately. It seems like my husband is pulling away, and it’s leaving me feeling confused and insecure.
