(AP) – Lawmakers in Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere are working to remove barriers between college athletes trying to cash in on their fame and the schools for which they play as administrators discover the benefits of moving athlete compensation activities in-house.

Friday the Clinton High School track teams traveled to participate in the conference meet in Weatherford, while Kat Meacham competed in the John Jacobs Invitational at the University of Oklahoma.

Red Tornadoes finish third at Riverside

The Clinton High School boys’ golf team enjoyed one of its most successful outings with a thirdplace tournament finish Thursday at the Red Tornadoes’ home course, Riverside Golf Course. The Red Tornadoes shot 347 as a team to claim tourney hardware.
